AMERICAN BOBTAIL

MADAME ZOZO OF SIGNORI

The American Bobtail is a new natural breed, that did happen without the help of humans. The Cat Fanciers' Association accepted the breed for registration in February 2000. No one really knows when and where the first feral domestic did appear, but we do know that it did develop in a domestic population and that it does not have any wild heritage.

This is a dominant gene, a cat must be a natural short-tailed to produce short-tailed kittens. This natural selection did produce several colors and both coat lengths. This breed take 2 to 3 years to mature fully, it has an outgoing personality. The length of the tail can vary from 1 to 4 inches. In this breed no two tails are exactly the same. Breeders are working toward perfecting the appearance of this breed, while keeping its wild look and its beautiful friendly personality.
